Tips
for Rodent Control
Before
performing rodent control of any kind, whether it is
with baits or mechanical traps, you should always ask
yourself the following questions:
1. Has the pest been properly identified?
To properly treat a rodent problem, you must know what
you are dealing with.
2.
Are there any children or pets?
Safety should be the first priority.
3.
How are the rodents entering the structure?
Excluding rodents from entering the structure is more
important than the selection of trap or bait.
4.
Have you removed all debris away from the home?
It is very important that all tree's and shrubs be cut
back away from the home as well as keeping woodpile's
and other harborages away from the structure. In many
cases it only takes 1/4 of an inch for a rodent to enter
your home. Eliminating harborages close to the structure
helps keep rodents outside where they belong.
