The
days of when a pest control technician shows up at a commercial
establishment and applies a band of pesticides inside and
outside of your establishment are quickly approaching an end. Inspection,
identification, and monitoring, then providing a solution is
the key to successful pest management. We have created a simple
and successful six step pest management program
for controlling pest problems in your commercial
facility.
Inspection
A
proper inspection is the first step to a successful program. During
this inspection any pest
problems will be identified as well as any problems that
may be conducive to pest problems (sanitation, water leaks, entry
points, etc)
Identification
The
second step is proper identification. There are several different
types of cockroaches,
ants, and rodents that may enter your establishment. Each
species has very different preferences when it comes to food and
harborage. Knowing your
enemy can be the difference between success or
failure.
Solution
Only
after a thorough inspection and proper identification, we will design
a program exclusive to
your needs. Pesticides can play a key role in a pest
program, but they are not the only answer. Sanitation recommendations,
exclusion, baits, and traps are just as important in a successful
program.
Monitor Stations
After
the service is completed, monitor stations are strategically placed
around the facility to
detect any activity between service visits. In many cases
a problem is detected before it actually becomes a problem.
Recommendations
Often
times during the inspection there are areas that may need special
attention. This involves
a sanitation problem or a structural problem. We will
provide you with a report of any areas that may need special attention.
Site Logs
Communication
is the backbone of a successful pest management program.
We leave activity site logs with management. We encourage you
to list any pests and where they are sighted. This will provide
us with a list of areas
that may need special attention on the next service visit. These
logs are very important in larger facilities. This helps to keep
the lines of communication
open.
